Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of CI Energy Group, we invite you to attend the Eighth Annual Shale Symposium. To reflect the changing landscape and excitement in the industry we’ve evolved the program this year to include shale ‘oil’. This program has grown to become the premier Canadian event of its kind, attracting North America’s leading producers, service companies, regulators, and investors to explore the challenges and opportunities facing all of us who work in this quickly evolving industry.

In addition to the incredible vast shale oil and gas discoveries made in North America, new discoveries are being made around the globe in places like Poland, India, China, and Australia. It is clear that shale will be a dominant worldwide energy source of the Twenty-First Century. Of course with every amazing opportunity there are many challenges and obstacles to surpass ― technical, strategic, environmental, and economic. The community is making big strides technically and strategically but managing the social image of shale and the need for a social licence to operate have also become necessary realities to continue moving the industry forward.

No other program delves into the current pressing challenges as well as highlights progress and opportunities in North America’s shale industry like the Shale Gas & Oil Symposium. We look forward to engaging on the key issues that are shaping the industry for years to come! This event promises to be an exciting opportunity to learn, share and move our industry forward!
